If you’re looking for a special dinner experience, I highly recommend Langkawi Fish Farm Restaurant. Even though it’s a bit more expensive, the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere make it a fantastic choice! They serve mouthwatering seafood dishes, perfect for a romantic evening with someone special. And the best part? You can select your own seafood, guaranteeing it’s fresh and tasty. It’s definitely worth the investment for a memorable dining experience.
Located in a peaceful part of Kuah, near the St Regis Hotel, this hidden gem features a theme influenced by pirates and fishermen. Its outdoor sea deck offers breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. The unique design of the deck reaching out over the water is unparalleled. This picturesque location is ideal for taking numerous selfies or group pictures, with everyone appearing fantastic in every snap.

This restaurant gets lots of good reviews online and is often picked as the best seafood place in Langkawi. It gets busy at dinner time, so it’s best to come early. Some people even line up starting at 5:30 pm.
4. Scarborough Fish & Chips
If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience, this place is a must-visit when in town. From the moment we stepped in until we left, everything was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly, making you feel welcomed right away.
The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes, and every item we tried was deliciously prepared. One of the highlights was the stunning view of boats passing by and the breathtaking sunset, making our meal even more enjoyable.
Despite the high quality of food and service, the prices were surprisingly affordable, making it a place you returned to multiple times during your stay. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Conveniently situated by the Pantai Cenang beach, Orchid Ria Seafood Restaurant offers fresh and tasty seafood for those in the area. Unlike Fish Farm Restaurant, it may not have a fancy exterior. However, it’s spacious enough to seat 250 people inside, though the atmosphere might not be the best.
Even when it gets really busy in the evening, the staff remains friendly and quick with their service. You might have to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but it’s worth it for the delicious seafood. It’s a good idea to enjoy some drinks with friends while waiting for your meal. They have a diverse menu, letting you pick exactly what you want

For an authentic Langkawi dining experience that locals swear by, consider visiting Rootian. This restaurant has been a beloved fixture in the community for over two decades, initially setting up in the old Kuah town before relocating to Dayang Walk more recently.
Although it may not have the same online buzz as some other eateries, Rootian is a hidden culinary gem that’s well worth a visit. Locals often flock here, and it’s not uncommon for the restaurant to fill up by 6:00 pm, a testament to its popularity and quality.
While Rootian may not be the most budget-friendly option in town, it offers a range of dishes that are reasonably priced and certainly more affordable than some other places. With an extensive menu that includes both halal and non-halal Chinese cuisine, there’s something to satisfy every palate.

The seating arrangement is especially accommodating for larger groups, making it ideal for gatherings of eight people or more. However, on a still day, the restaurant can feel a tad stuffy.
Navigating the menu is a breeze thanks to the helpful staff, who are well-versed in both Chinese and Malay cuisines. If you’re unsure what to order from the extensive menu, they’re more than happy to offer recommendations.
Service is prompt and efficient, most received our dishes in a timely manner, with each subsequent dish arriving shortly after the last. Even when it came to refilling the rice, the staff was attentive and quick to assist.
