If you plan to come to Langkawi, the ferry is the main transportation to this legendary island. You can take the ferry from two terminals namely Kuala Perlis and Kuala Kedah.
For both terminals, an application has been introduced to facilitate tourists, namely the Cuti- Cuti Langkawi. This app can be downloaded on Google Play and App Store to facilitate online ticket purchases. However, ticket counters are still available at the terminal to facilitate tourists.
Often the earliest ferry departs from Kuala Perlis Jetty to Langkawi starting as early as 7:00 am and the last one is always at 7:00 pm. However, if there is a special celebration or school holiday, usually extra trips will be provided for the convenience of tourists.
- Make sure that the ticket purchased is the same as the registered identity card and that it needs to be kept/displayed when moving into the waiting room and into the ferry.
